If you’re ready to grow with us, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking a Packaging Operator to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Packaging Operator, you will be accountable for setting up, operating, and monitoring packaging equipment to ensure product quality and compliance with safety and GMP standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years of related manufacturing experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules, safety rules, and operating instructions.
- Ability to complete routine reports and speak effectively before groups.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new software.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in packaging operations within a food manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to daily production, packaging, and bagging schedules while maintaining adequate packaging material inventory.
- Set up and adjust case erector measurements and bag inserter programming according to product specifications.
- Monitor and verify bag sealing temperatures, box strength, and packaging quality through regular checks.
- Operate packaging equipment and communicate maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with GMPs and safety protocols.
- Utilize Aspire AOE training with Centerline and CIL daily management systems.
- Participate in root cause analysis, area walks, and continuous improvement initiatives while training others on standard work procedures.
