About The Position

This Operations Worker role supports daily production activities within a fertilizer packaging facility through hands‑on involvement in the safe handling, packaging, and movement of materials on 2nd shift. Responsibilities include operating forklifts to move and stage super sacks, working on the bagging line, performing quality checks, and entering production data using basic computer systems while rotating across multiple areas of the facility. Work is fast‑paced and physically active, requiring time on your feet throughout the shift along with lifting, bending, and repetitive movement. The environment is not temperature controlled and can be dusty due to fertilizer materials, making comfort in industrial conditions important. A strong safety mindset is essential, with an expectation to follow procedures, maintain awareness of surroundings, and support a clean, organized facility. This role is ideal for dependable, motivated individuals who take pride in their work, are willing to learn multiple functions, and contribute to a team‑focused operation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 3-5 years’ relevant experience required
  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds
  • Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet
  • Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
  • Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance and active participation in all relevant safety and environmental programs
  • Receives, stores, cares for, processes, packages, distributes and applies products and services within the facility or customers location to include housekeeping and upkeep
  • Performs quality inspections and records operational data
  • Operates and maintains various types of mobile and fixed equipment
  • Perform accurate input duties using company operating systems and programs
  • Administer prescribed training
  • Operates and maintain various types of mobile and fixed equipment
