About The Position

As an Operations Transformation Intern at Grant Thornton, you will assist clients with developing and implementing operations modernization and improvement initiatives within the Operations Transformation Practice. You will be empowered to help clients achieve their vision and contribute to their growth trajectory. This role offers the resources, environment, and support to excel in a dynamic professional services setting.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0.
  • Demonstrated interest in operational strategy, performance improvement, and business transformation.
  • Demonstrated digital fluency through the effective use of technology, data, and basic AI technologies.
  • Experience (through coursework, internships, or projects) with process mapping, data analysis, or operational assessments.
  • Proven ability to work in teams and deliver against tight deadlines in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity, and motivation to develop professionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to remain agile, work in ambiguous environments, and possess a “can-do” attitude.
  • Positive, client-focused mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed.
  • Ability to travel to various client sites, as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Aid cross-functional teams in the delivery of major transformation initiatives within operational efficiency programs, digital operations management solutions, and product and operations modernization programs.
  • Conduct business opportunity assessments, develop solution strategies, manage programs, and implement enabling technologies and organizational change.
  • Create, interpret, and transform data and analytics into actionable performance insights.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients and internal team members to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and build trust.
  • Manage and minimize engagement delivery risk by proactively identifying issues and recommending remediation strategies.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to internal teams and client stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Present insights in a structured and compelling way.
