About The Position

The Operations Training Coordinator supports manufacturing operations by creating, automating and maintaining operations training processes that add value to American Battery Solutions (ABS). This role works in conjunction with Manufacturing, Operations, and Human Resources teams to ensure workforce readiness, compliance with quality standards, and achievement of operational performance objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Training and Development, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or an equivalent relevant field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience within a manufacturing environment in an influence management, project coordination, operational support, or related role.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating employee training programs, managing training records, and supporting competency or qualification management processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in utilizing and navigating computer systems, including extensive knowledge of Cornerstone Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Familiarity with IATF requirements, audit preparation, document control practices, and training record management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data to support operational decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Create and automate operations training modules in conjunction with Manufacturing and Operation’s needs.
  • Maintain training records, competency matrices, qualification documentation, and Learning Management System (LMS) data.
  • Coordinate learning events, workshops, and hands-on training activities across manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor operational training metrics, compile reports, analyze trends, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Partner with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to integrate mandatory safety certifications into core operational training matrices including National Fire Protection Association 70E (NFPA 70E), High Voltage Safety, Lockout / Tagout, and Hazard Communications.
  • Work in conjunction with Human Resources to support new hire training activities for manufacturing and operations employees to ensure they successfully transition into assigned positions and achieve required competencies.
  • Coordinate and track High Voltage Line 2 launch readiness activities, including workforce planning, training completion, competency validation, and training documentation readiness.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among a variety of departments to support manufacturing and operations objectives.
  • Support cross-functional manufacturing and operations projects by tracking deliverables, timelines, risks, and action items to ensure successful execution.
  • Support International Automotive Task Force (IATF) competency management processes requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audit readiness by ensuring training documentation and competency records are complete, accurate, and readily accessible within ABS LMS.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations.
