About The Position

Flex is seeking an Operations Trainer to join their team. This role will be responsible for conducting tests and troubleshooting electronic products, components, and systems to ensure production quality standards are met. The Operations Trainer will deliver hands-on training and coaching for new hires and existing employees on the production floor, covering Flex culture, ESD, environmental health and safety, quality, ISO requirements, and site procedures. They will train employees using approved work instructions, demonstrate the correct use of production tools, equipment, machines, and processes, and observe trainee performance, verify understanding, document completion, and provide retraining when standards are not met. The role also involves maintaining accurate individual training records, completing training reports, supporting training effectiveness audits, completing Train-the-Trainer instruction, and building proficiency across assigned manufacturing and assembly processes. Additionally, the Operations Trainer will support specialized production areas, including clean-room operations, gowning protocols, and Cerebras assembly, and partner with Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Operations to standardize training practices and improve employee performance, compliance, and production readiness.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an associate degree, military training, or equivalent vocational training or experience.
  • Typically requires at least two years of related manufacturing, assembly, technical, or training experience.
  • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge across multiple manufacturing or assembly processes.
  • Ability to read, understand, interpret, and teach approved work instructions, procedures, diagrams, and production requirements.
  • Hands-on experience using production tools and equipment such as scanners, computers, torque tools, microscopes, printers, pick-and-place equipment, or similar machinery.
  • Ability to clearly demonstrate technical processes, coach employees, evaluate performance, and provide retraining when needed.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to maintain training records, complete reports, and use spreadsheets or related systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and work across different schedules, production areas, clean-room environments, and changing operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on training and coaching for new hires and existing employees on the production floor.

  • Train employees using approved work instructions and demonstrate the correct use of production tools, equipment, machines, and processes.
