About The Position

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking an Operations Trainer to develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs that strengthen the performance, capability, and consistency of Operational Leads and Associates. This role ensures standardized onboarding, reinforces process discipline, and supports continuous improvement across all operational functions. The Trainer will serve as a subject-matter expert on company processes, work instructions, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of various gages and measuring devices
  • Ability to lift / move 50 lbs.
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and motivate team members at multiple skill levels
  • Strong knowledge of operational workflows, safety protocols, and quality standards

  • 1+ years of work experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing, logistics, or a high-volume production environment.
  • Prior experience developing training content or managing a training program.
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, quality, training, or a related environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Trainer, Lean/Six Sigma background, or similar credentials preferred
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and site personnel
  • Daily communications with various stakeholders at the site level
  • Provide feedback to leadership on process inefficiencies, training gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Train and validate inspectors
  • Coordinate changes in Work Orders
  • Conduct ongoing audits of effectiveness of work being performed
  • Perform visual, mechanical, and functional verifications to ensure compliance to quality standards and specifications
  • Make independent judgments for subjective scenarios
  • Work as an inspector when required
  • Demonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
  • Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and HR partners to identify training needs and skill gaps
  • Support new launch activities, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Serve as a role model for operational excellence and demonstrating best practices on the floor
  • Conduct onboarding and job-specific training for new Operational Leads and Associates
  • Lead hands-on, floor-based instruction to ensure full comprehension of operational tasks, safety requirements, and quality expectations
  • Maintain a structured training schedule aligned with staffing needs and production demands
  • Ensures all site personnel receive corporate communications
  • Act as a liaison between Supervisor and inspectors
  • Facilitate refresher training sessions, cross-training initiatives, and upskilling programs
  • Support corrective action plans by providing targeted re-training when performance gaps are identified
  • Ensure training compliance is met, and audits of trained personnel are maintained
  • Monitor effectiveness of training programs through KPIs and adjust curriculum as needed
  • Create and maintain customer and company reports
  • Utilize company web portals to record required audits and documentation
  • Create and update training materials, SOPs, visual aids, and evaluation tools.
  • Ensure all training documentation aligns with customer requirements, safety standards, and company operating procedures.
  • Conduct competency assessments to validate readiness and skill level.
  • Track trainee progress and maintain accurate training records in the designated tracking system.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives when training-related issues occur
  • Any other duties as assigned
