About The Position

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract (J-Tech II). The Operations Test Analyst II assists with developmental and operational testing of internal and external customer systems, serving as an interface between instrumentation engineers and test customers to ensure required parametric data is available for analysis and accurately reflects system configuration and operational characteristics. The role supports real-time mission operations in a work center environment, specializing in areas such as voice communications switching, video, telemetry, situational awareness, data transport, and support systems. It performs network and system administration for communications distribution, data acquisition and distribution, range data transmission, and ancillary equipment. The analyst monitors networks, resolves operational anomalies, reports network status, identifies weaknesses, recommends corrective actions, and troubleshoots network and telecommunications equipment. The analyst provides technical leadership to work-center personnel during mission support and preventive maintenance activities, maintains networking equipment through problem isolation and repair to the lowest repairable unit, and develops and maintains network preventive maintenance procedures and operating instructions. The role also supports test planning and execution, data collection and analysis, test findings, and preparation of final test products. Work is performed under general technical guidance; after on-the-job training, the analyst is considered a subject matter expert for the assigned work-center tasks. This position requires non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, sometimes with short or no notice. It is performed in a typical office environment and requires the ability to work under deadlines and maintain mental alertness.
