About The Position
An exciting opportunity awaits for motivated candidates wanting to join the KOMO team! We are looking to add an Operations Technician to participate in the production of our newscast. This position provides tremendous opportunity to become familiar with control room duties, including directing, teleprompter operation, and studio preparation and maintenance.
Requirements
- Self-motivated and a strong commitment to personal growth
- Flexible schedule
- Strong technical interest -- specifically pertaining to computer technology and studio infrastructure
- A desire to develop directing skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively with other production team members
Nice To Haves
- Broadcast experience
- Ability to direct newscasts using Ross Overdrive automation
Responsibilities
- Participate in the production of our newscast
