Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time – Frequently
  • Must be able to use a microscope for long periods of time - Frequently
  • Must be able to move about the inside of the building - Frequently
  • Must be able to move parts and/or equipment around the building - Frequently
  • Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders - Rarely
  • Must be able to position oneself and move under/around/over equipment - Occasionally
  • Must be able to handle/adjust/inspect/position various items and equipment - Frequently
  • Must be able to clearly communicate and exchange information with others - Frequently
  • Must be able to perform tasks that require repetitive handling/adjusting/inspecting/positioning of items and equipment - Frequently
  • Must be able to distinguish and detect information such as writing and defects – Frequently
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and dexterity to manipulate small parts/tools – Frequently
  • Must be able to safely and accurately follow all work instructions and process - Frequently
  • Must be able to move equipment - Frequently

Responsibilities

  • Use a microscope and small knives/hand tools to remove burrs (rough edges, curls, or ridges caused by machining) from small parts like screws.
  • Use measuring tools (calipers, gauges, comparators) to check for dimensional accuracy.
  • Follow all safety and work procedures carefully.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Report equipment or material issues to your supervisor or lead.
