About The Position

Novelis is seeking an Operations Technician-Recycle to join our recently announced expansion/greenfield start-up Recycle in Guthrie, KY. This role is crucial for contributing to our continued success in aluminum recycling and rolling, as we aim to provide innovative solutions to various markets. The Guthrie facility will feature innovative equipment to recycle aluminum for future cars, trucks, SUVs, and beverage cans, employing 125 residents.

Requirements

• Completed High School or have a GED.
• Have a proven foundation and value for safety. Our priority is ensuring all our employees get home safely every day.
• Have a minimum of four years of work history/experience.
• Have the ability and desire to work in and participate in a team environment.
• Can demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Have a working knowledge of software applications, email, etc.
• Working in heat >80° and cold < 60°
• Lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Climbing stairs and ladders.
• Bending, twisting, kneeling, sometimes in close quarters.
• Flexibility to work 12-hours shifts in a 24/7 environment.
• Must meet minimum requirements for overhead crane operation including annual physical and vision exams.

• Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
