Reimagine What’s Possible Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an Operations Technician III for our Beaumont, TX facility. The facility employs four operators, two maintenance staff, one administrative staff member, and one management staff member. At Air Products, zero is achievable when it comes to safety. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven mechanical proficiency
  • Basic electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical maintenance experience preferred
  • Experience using personal computers
  • Experience with Microsoft Word or Excel preferred
  • Ability and desire to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift, including nights, on-call assignments, and weekends
  • Availability to meet mandatory call-in requirements as scheduled
  • Ability to perform general maintenance tasks on plant process equipment (e.g., vibration monitoring, oil sampling)
  • This is a safety-sensitive position
  • Ability to operate a tractor/trailer to fill liquid helium containers preferred
  • Willingness to travel to support other plants on a case-by-case basis
  • Qualified candidates should possess strong scholastic credentials and relevant work and/or military experience

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Monitor plant processes and perform preventive and routine maintenance on systems
  • Participate in loading and offloading liquid cryogenic and gaseous helium containers in accordance with company procedures
  • Learn to operate a tractor truck to move large containers onsite
  • Interface with HMI systems to supervise operations, adjust plant parameters, and perform trend analysis
  • Collect and log operational data throughout the plant
  • Collect water samples and perform required testing
  • Certify certificates of analysis for products based on analytical data gathered.
