About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse WMS Clerk in Fairburn, Georgia. This role supports distribution across the US and offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career in the Safest Supply Chain Environment with State of the Art Equipment. The position reports to the Operations Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining and balancing the inbound and outbound process of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure daily production needs are met, provide timely communications to other departments and leadership personnel, and support all other warehouse operation functions and personnel as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years warehouse experience
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Working knowledge of WMS systems
• Forklift experience
• Equipment certification may be required, depending on location
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of warehouse exp preferred
• Previous WMS experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft - Outlook, Excel & Teams

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting standard facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which consistently meet/exceed established goals in safety, quality, sanitation and maintenance
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules
• Communicate with carriers regarding setting appointments and updating load statuses
• Work closely with the Operations Supervisor to ensure the work load is being distributed properly and evenly by managing WMS down to the floor
• Work closely with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve any problems with the day's orders
• Interact with the customer to communicate order changes and updates
• Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
