Requirements

Candidates for this position must: Understand and promote all West Fraser goals and expectations
Personally, abide by, and hold other employees to, all West Fraser and Whitehouse policies and procedures
Hold themselves and all others accountable for their actions and decisions
Lead by example
Be results driven and goal oriented
Have an unwavering work ethic and a desire to produce results
Be willing to work varying shifts including combinations of days and nights for protracted periods of time
Be willing to be assigned interchangeably between operations areas which will include sawmill, planer mill, kilns, and shipping (Does Not include Maintenance)
Have or be willing to obtain forklift, front end loader, and skid steer qualifications
Have above average oral and written communication skills
Able to work well with orders while giving directions and instructions
Understand limitations and know when to seek assistance
Follow through and complete tasks as instructed
Have mechanical aptitude and analytical abilities
Perform department safety and environmental inspections
Follow, maintain, and promote change that benefits the department
Contribute to continuous process improvement
