Requirements

  • Candidates for this position must: Understand and promote all West Fraser goals and expectations
  • Personally, abide by, and hold other employees to, all West Fraser and Whitehouse policies and procedures
  • Hold themselves and all others accountable for their actions and decisions

  • Be results driven and goal oriented
  • Have an unwavering work ethic and a desire to produce results
  • Be willing to work varying shifts including combinations of days and nights for protracted periods of time
  • Be willing to be assigned interchangeably between operations areas which will include sawmill, planer mill, kilns, and shipping (Does Not include Maintenance)
  • Have or be willing to obtain forklift, front end loader, and skid steer qualifications
  • Have above average oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work well with orders while giving directions and instructions
  • Understand limitations and know when to seek assistance
  • Follow through and complete tasks as instructed
  • Have mechanical aptitude and analytical abilities
  • Perform department safety and environmental inspections
  • Follow, maintain, and promote change that benefits the department
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement
