Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid PA driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
  • PA DEP Class B Water Treatment License with required subclasses.
  • Maintain laboratory accreditation status.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of surface water treatment processes.
  • Ability to use SCADA and other operational software.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs.

  • College coursework in chemistry, biology, or environmental science.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead plant operations, including startup, shutdown, and process adjustments.
  • Monitor and maintain treatment systems, pumps, chemical feeders, and control equipment.
  • Collect and analyze water samples, perform laboratory tests, and record results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and in accordance with standard laboratory practices
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering on plant improvements and statewide operational excellence initiatives.
  • Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and coach staff.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory, and budget tracking.
  • Prepare compliance reports and maintain laboratory accreditation.
  • Act as primary point of contact for plant operations and plant emergency response.
  • All work to be performed in accordance with company safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
