We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Support Specialist to join our West Palm Beach team. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting daily operations, dispatch activities, customer service initiatives, and administrative functions. The Operations Support Specialist plays a key role in ensuring efficient communication, accurate reporting, and seamless operational support. The Operations Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support to management, drivers, and field employees. This role assists with dispatch functions, customer service issues, reporting requirements, scheduling coordination, and various operational projects to help ensure efficient daily operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of administrative, operations, dispatch, customer service, or related experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- 3 years of relevant work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in the waste industry, transportation, logistics, or fleet operations.
- Experience with dispatch, routing, or operations management software.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create, assign, monitor, and close customer service tickets daily.
- Support daily dispatch and route management activities.
- Maintain and distribute department communications, reports, and operational updates.
- Communicate with supervisors, managers, and field staff regarding service and operational issues.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute operational and productivity reports.
- Utilize company software systems for: Time and attendance tracking, Safety incident reporting, Contract labor management, Operational reporting
- Assist with operational projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist in resolving service-related concerns.
- Coordinate scheduling and work assignments with operations personnel.
- Maintain accurate records and department documentation.
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service requests and concerns.
- Escalate operational issues to appropriate management personnel.
- Support route optimization and customer service initiatives.
- Assist with special projects and departmental goals.
- Participate in company-sponsored training programs.
- Maintain working knowledge of Waste Pro systems, processes, and technology platforms.
- Support management with various operational initiatives and projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
