About The Position
The Operations Support Shipping Technician is responsible for inspecting, preparing, handling, and loading product for shipment while supporting daily operations and maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. This role requires the ability to support shipping activities, and maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand and respond appropriately to emergency procedures
- Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively within a team environment
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attendance
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience operating a forklift
- Experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations
- Previous experience working in a safety-sensitive industrial environment
Responsibilities
- Inspect and seal barrels to ensure product quality and shipment readiness
- Inspect equipment using established checklists and report deficiencies
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move product safely
- Prepare barrels for shipment, including conveyor operations and product sampling
- Load, unload, and move materials as required
- Participate in daily safety and quality meetings
- Report all incidents, hazards, near misses, and safety concerns immediately
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including removing debris, cleaning spills, drains, and break areas
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Support cross-training initiatives and perform assigned duties in multiple operational areas
- Verify product integrity and communicate concerns regarding product quality, shortages, or equipment issues
- Work effectively with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned and trained
