  • Ability to travel up to 30% nationwide to customer sites and operations locations requiring technical support.
  • Practical understanding of high-pressure specialty and bulk gas delivery systems, hardware components, and operating safety dynamics.
  • General understanding of gas analytical equipment (moisture/oxygen trace analyzers, gas chromatographs, leak detectors) and the ability to learn operation and calibration procedures.
  • General understanding of gas purification systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.
  • Electro-mechanical troubleshooting, and safely working on pressurized cryogenic and gas delivery systems.
  • Basic understanding and ability to operate PLC and DCS control systems.

  • Firm understanding of industrial plant safety, LOTO compliance, and safety permit processes.
  • Ability to wear required safety equipment, including hardhats, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and FRC gear daily when in the field.
  • Comfortable standing and walking across expansive manufacturing plants. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and maneuver in tight equipment spaces.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry technical equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily performance and operations of semiconductor gas distribution equipment to maintain uninterrupted, in-spec gas delivery.
  • Execute preventative maintenance (PM) schedules for air separation gas plant assets and complete mechanical/electrical repairs on system piping, valves, and control components. Log all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate gas analysis instruments (trace moisture analyzers, trace oxygen analyzers, gas chromatographs) to monitor gas purity levels and generate test reports.
  • Diagnose electro-mechanical failures and process upsets in pressurized UHP environments utilizing electrical schematics, PLC logic, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Provide technical engineering support during the installation, testing, and commissioning of new gas delivery and purification systems.
  • Coordinate third-party contractors during site projects, actively monitoring work quality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide technical support and field engineering services to rapidly address unexpected gas system upsets and minimize customer production downtime.
  • Provide operating and maintenance support for ASU, APSA, CDA, and compressor systems.
  • Assist in managing site spare parts inventory for gas delivery systems. Help write and update site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintenance logs.
