About The Position

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities for non-exempt employees involved in the manufacturing production environment at ADTRAN. The Operations Production Lead will spend the majority of the day on the Operations floor driving the daily business.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education requirements
# - # years prior experience in a manufacturing environment required (# range varies based on level in the table below)
Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge required.
Knowledge of Baan Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software required.
Knowledge of SPC methods and reporting, test processes, and automated inventory systems required.
Ability to operate a manual pallet jack on daily basis required
No travel is expected for this position.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree preferred (or equivalent military experience).

Responsibilities

Prioritize work assignments and allocate resources to ensure work orders are processes efficiently.
Responsible for establishing the day-to-day direction, focus, and motivation of the Operations team.
Responsible for training and providing minor on-the-job feedback to non-exempt employees.
Ensure Operations Supervisors and/or Managers are made aware job performance concerns.
Maintain quality and quantity throughput of process from raw card environment.
Work with Operations Supervisors to improve throughout and reduce defects within the department.
Implement self-directed work principles in order to accomplish quality and productivity goals.
Ensure that safety is a department priority and that all team members operate equipment in a safe manner.
Continuously seek, identify, and provide process improvement recommendations to ensure performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.
