About The Position

Waste Connections is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our BARCO Albuquerque Materials Recovery Facility. This role is suited for a hands-on leader ready to advance their career while supporting daily operations. Waste Connections is a leading, publicly traded provider of non-hazardous waste collection, transfer, disposal, and recycling services across the U.S. and Canada. This position is essential to maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operations at New Mexico’s largest MRF. The Supervisor directly supports production and helps strengthen a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, recycling, or similar fields
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong safety awareness and decision-making ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment

Nice To Haves

• MRF or recycling facility experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• 2+ years operating light to heavy equipment

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees across assigned shifts
• Monitor equipment performance, material flow, and production quality
• Enforce safety standards and respond to incidents
• Manage staffing levels, break schedules, and rotation plans
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and minimize downtime
• Communicate shift performance and key issues to management
