About The Position

The Operations Supervisor will coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of farm workers, farm machinery operators, and general laborers. This role involves overseeing crop production, grading, packaging, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure products meet quality and efficiency standards. The supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining infrastructure, equipment, and supplies, developing work schedules, and enforcing safety and biosecurity procedures. Additionally, the role requires maintaining records and performing general farm duties as needed, including operating and maintaining digital technologies and farm equipment.

Requirements

Proficiency in Excel (Intermediate)
Proficiency with other computer software (Microsoft Word, SAP, etc…)
Operate warehouse and farm equipment including forklifts, tractors, loaders and farm implements (mowers, tillers)

Nice To Haves

Speak and comprehend Spanish is an asset

Responsibilities

Coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of farm workers, farm machinery operators, and general labourers.
Supervise and oversee crop production activities to ensure products are ready for packaging and distribution.
Supervise and coordinate product grading, packaging, shipping, and receiving operations.
Monitor production and enforce procedures to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity standards are met.
Supervise the maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, storage areas, and supplies.
Develop work schedules and establish operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with farm safety, food safety, security, and biosecurity procedures.
Maintain quality control, inventory, and production records.
Perform general farm duties, as required.
Operate and maintain digital technologies, communication tools, and equipment.
Ensure staff are properly educated on the use of tools and equipment that have Industry or BTN training programs.
