About The Position

This position is accountable for assisting in the operations for a terminal location. The Operations Supervisor will supervise the performance of drivers, conduct interviews and hire drivers, and work closely with dispatchers on troubleshooting items such as delivery issues, driver training program, staffing levels, customer requests/complaints. This role will also approve/deny driver PTO requests, manage the annual vacation schedule, and create the weekly driver schedule for dispatch. Additionally, the supervisor will assist in forecasting terminal performance and analyzing terminal financial information to ensure maximum asset utilization.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in business related field or equivalent business experience in the transportation industry
Excellent conflict resolution skills
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Supervise performance of drivers
