Operations Supervisor
About The Position
Select, supervise and train employees in their respective position to ensure safe, professional and efficient service in assigned branch. Provide leadership which results in positive employee/employer relations and a professional corporate image. You’ll lead a massive team of drivers and front-line staff, acting as a mentor, strategist, and ultimate problem-solver. You’ll dive deep into the data—tracking KPIs, managing budgets, and finding those "hidden" efficiencies that save time and fuel. At GFL, safety is our soul. You’ll be responsible for implementing high-level safety protocols and ensuring every team member makes it home safe every single night. You represent the GFL brand in the wild. You’ll handle customer relations and municipal partnerships with professional flair.
Requirements
- A few years of supervisory experience under your belt, preferably in waste, heavy hauling, or high-volume logistics.
- Wizard with routing software, GPS tracking, and fleet management systems.
- Know DOT regulations like the back of your hand and hold your team to the highest standards.
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
- Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.
