This role involves managing a team of up to 70 plant employees, participating in the hiring and onboarding process, and overseeing performance management. The supervisor provides direction, leadership, and development to direct reports, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement. They are also responsible for planning and managing the daily allocation of resources, ensuring high standards of quality, housekeeping, and hygiene, and reviewing daily performance targets. Additionally, the supervisor coaches employees, develops action plans for continuous improvement, facilitates communication, and acts as a backup for other positions as needed. They must understand and apply internal and external regulations, provide feedback on capital projects, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role involves optimizing machine performance, minimizing downtime, managing expenses within budget, and ensuring cost-effective shipments. Safety and quality are paramount, requiring the supervisor to ensure a safe work environment, proper training, adherence to SOPs, and thorough investigation of incidents. The supervisor also ensures production quality objectives are met and customer requirements are followed.
