About The Position

Working in Woodward’s Industrial Product Segment in Fort Collins, Colorado, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for leading and managing frontline teams to meet daily production targets and achieve operational excellence. This role involves supervising team performance, allocating resources effectively, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure customer expectations are met. The Operations Supervisor acts as a key point of contact for problem resolution, employee development, and process optimization, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and efficiency.

• Ability to effectively lead team through 5S, Visual Management, standardized work, and Daily Management System.
• Strong skills in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for operational reporting.
• Ability to analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP.
• Basic understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for inventory and production scheduling
• The ability to recognize, understand, and manage your own emotions while effectively perceiving and responding to the emotions of others. This includes skills such as empathy, self-awareness, emotional regulation, social awareness, and relationship management to foster positive interactions and resolve challenges constructively.
• Works collaboratively with team members to support overall team objectives and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to front line team members in meeting their daily production targets to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Allocates and coordinates resources effectively to meet operational objectives.
• Conducts performance evaluations, provides feedback, manages member development, recognition and ensures accountability and policy adherence.
• Identifies and resolves day-to-day technical and operational issues and coaching and mentoring team's problem-solving capabilities.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness to improve the production system and meet customer demand.
• Ensuring team members are trained and certified.
• Collaborates across teams, shares knowledge, and supports team goals.
• Builds strong cross-functional relationships and fosters a collaborative culture.
