About The Position

The Operations Supervisor will work closely with customer field representatives to effectively coordinate Cyclops Setting Tools. This role involves disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, rebuilding, and testing Fortress Cyclops Setting Tools per applicable work instructions. The supervisor will also provide technical support and onboarding to customers for these tools. Key responsibilities include ensuring equipment and tools are available and maintained, upholding QA/QC policies, ensuring safety training and PPE compliance, coordinating tool needs, managing shop personnel (including interviewing, hiring, firing, training, scheduling, and grading), maintaining reports for management, managing inventory, overseeing technician timesheets, ensuring high standards of housekeeping, maintaining professionalism and integrity, fostering a positive work culture, and proactively identifying and solving issues. The role also includes any other duties assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background working with downhole tools utilized in pump down operations, including wireline setting tools, frac plugs, and perforating guns
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication, and operational management skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10 OS, and Microsoft Office
  • Forklift training
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs

  • This position may require periodic travel to other districts as necessary to meet company needs and support operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customer field representatives to effectively coordinate Cyclops Setting Tools
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, rebuild, and test Fortress Cyclops Setting Tools per the applicable Fortress Work Instructions
  • Provide technical support/onboarding to customers for Fortress Cyclops Setting Tools
  • Ensures all necessary equipment and tools are available and adequately maintained to perform all aspects of the job
  • Ensure all QA/QC policies & procedures are always top priority
  • Ensure all employees are up to date with safety training and PPE
  • Coordinate tool needs between shop and upper management
  • Interviewing, hiring, and firing of Tool Assistants and Specialists
  • Train and progress shop personnel
  • Create scheduling and grading employees
  • Maintain reports on ongoing jobs and activity to Fortress management
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Oversee all technicians time sheets/days off
  • Ensure housekeeping is kept up to highest standard every day
  • Maintains the highest level of professionalism and works with honesty and integrity

  • Proactively looking ahead to identify and provide solutions to issues before they become problems.
