About The Position

The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of retail operations within the warehouse and distribution environment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operational activities, including dispatching, inventory management, and employee performance, to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. The supervisor will lead and develop a team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. They will also coordinate emergency response efforts and implement safety training programs to maintain a secure workplace. Ultimately, the Operations Supervisor ensures that all operational processes align with company standards and contribute to overall business success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management or supervisory roles within retail or warehouse environments.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and dispatching software.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and emergency response procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
• Operations management skills to coordinate complex workflows and ensure seamless warehouse and dispatch activities.
• Team management skills for motivating staff, resolving conflicts, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems and PKMS for accurate tracking of inventory and efficient dispatching.
• Safety training and emergency response skills to maintain compliance with regulations and prepare the team for potential incidents.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to support continuous improvement initiatives and effective coordination across departments.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience with PKMS or similar inventory management platforms.
• Previous experience in retail trade industry operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Manage and lead a team of employees, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee dispatching activities to optimize delivery routes and schedules, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and PKMS to monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and maintain accurate records.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
• Develop and execute emergency response plans to address operational disruptions or incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and implement best practices.
• Monitor employee performance metrics and provide coaching to enhance productivity and engagement.
