About The Position

Brink's is seeking an Operations Supervisor for night shifts at their Sydney facility. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the overall outside and vault operations. The focus will be on team leadership and process improvement, with opportunities to practice and develop skills. As a member of the leadership team, the Operations Supervisor will oversee daily activities of runs and vault, itinerary adjustments, preparation, receiving and shipment of parcels, and verification of incoming/outgoing liabilities. They will also supervise vault activity, ensure compliance, maintain security standards, check daily inventories, and ensure productivity standards for customer service response times and cash in transit are met. The role requires adherence to General Security Regulations and promotion of a positive work environment with a focus on employee relations and diversity. Responsibilities include participating in candidate selection, ensuring staffing levels, addressing grievances, making recommendations for disciplinary actions, administering Collective Bargaining Agreements, investigating workplace accidents and injuries, and providing direction and allocation of resources.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within transportation and logistics, a unionized environment, the armoured car industry or similar environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Good analytical proficiency with a strong customer focus and orientation
  • Ability to manage conflicts directly, cooperatively and with attention to detail
  • Proven leadership abilities and can make accurate & logical decisions
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to motivate others
  • Previous experience with Power BI and Business Objects
  • Intermediate to advanced skill in Microsoft Excel
  • A valid Driver’s License and Possession and Acquisition License (“PAL”) for both Restricted and non-Restricted, or the ability to obtain one within six months of taking this position
  • Flexible with your availability to specifically cover nights

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily activities of the runs and vault, itinerary adjustment; preparation, receiving and shipment parcels and verify incoming/outgoing liabilities.
  • Supervise the daily activity of the Vault and ensure the compliance.
  • Maintain required security standard and check inventories daily.
  • Ensure Productivity Standards for Customer Service Response Times & Cash in Transit are continually met and ensure all procedures and processes are performed in accordance with the General Security Regulations.
  • Promote a positive work environment, with a focus on employee relations and diversity.
  • Participate in selection of candidates to be part of your team and ensure staffing levels are maintained.
  • Ensure grievances are addressed, make recommendations for disciplinary actions, and administer applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Investigate workplace vehicle accidents and personal injuries and provide a report of investigation findings to appropriate internal and external authorities while also making recommendations for preventative corrective actions.
  • Provide direction and allocation of resources
