About The Position

We are currently looking for a people-focused Operations Supervisor to lead our 1st shift Returns Receiving department in a large, fast-paced distribution environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and carrier coordination
  • Strong people-leadership skills with focus on coaching, accountability and relationship-building.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy, inventory integrity, and on‑time fulfillment
  • Coach and develop hourly associates through regular feedback, training, and performance conversations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across shipping, receiving, quality, and rework
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound carrier schedules to meet customer delivery expectations
  • Monitor KPIs and communicate performance results to leadership
  • Promote a strong safety culture and enforce security and facility standards
  • Utilize WMS to optimize labor, workflows, and operational outcomes
  • Support and participate in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance and audits
  • Hire, train, and onboard new team members
  • Maintain accurate payroll and labor reporting
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with peers, managers, and vendors
  • Contribute to tactical and annual operating plans, budgets, and department goals
