About The Position

First Rescue Ambulance is seeking an Experienced Ambulance Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will assist the Chief Operating Officer and Dispatch Manager to ensure efficiency and growth by maintaining current operations and supporting the growth of the company in both equipment and personnel. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and compliance of company policies and procedures for all field staff and dispatchers, assuring that all assigned personnel report to duty on time, tracking attendance and following up on attendance issues. The position involves direct oversight of employees in accordance with the Company's Policies and Procedures, assisting field providers in performance of their duties, and reviewing ePCR reports daily to ensure QA corrections are completed by field staff in a timely manner. The Operations Manager will also review incident reports and follow through with investigation and closure, oversee the work of Equipment Officers to ensure compliance of vehicles, maintenance and company image, and respond to scenes when requested to gather information and lead investigations into accidents, injuries, and other incidents. This role promotes a safe work environment for all employees and ensures compliance of First Rescue Ambulance Policies and Procedures including uniform, grooming, and attendance. The Operations Manager will assist with dispatching duties when needed, oversee the Field Training Officer Program, and ensure all EMT's obtain DOT permitting in a timely manner. Additionally, this role will assist in the recruitment of field staff, assist with the orientation of new hire EMT's and other field staff, and assist in the completion of the field schedule, including filling open shifts, finding coverage for absent employees, and determining the need for additional shifts. The Operations Manager will also schedule vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are ready for inspection. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years in ambulance supervision or ambulance management, preferably in Los Angeles County.
  • Must be currently certified as an EMT or paramedic (preferred but negotiable).
  • CPR Certification (Healthcare Provider).
  • Medical Examiners Certificate.
  • Ambulance Drivers License.
  • Clean driving record with 2 years of commercial driving experience.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to manage time and multi-task.
  • Knowledge of utilizing performance reports to improve efficiency, utilization and profitability.
