About The Position

This is a full-time Road Supervisor position within the Operations department. The Road Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with company, NYCT, and NYS DMV rules and regulations. This role involves planning monthly observations of operator performance, investigating accidents/incidents, and providing road assistance. The supervisor will assign qualified drivers to routes, manage hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions to ensure proper route coverage, and oversee Quality Control employees responsible for vehicle cleaning, fueling, and parking. Additionally, the supervisor will manage dispatcher duties to ensure safe and timely passenger transport, discipline drivers for infractions such as lateness or deviations from routes, and call in additional drivers as needed.

Requirements

  • Able to manage and supervise employees and staff accordingly.
  • Hold and maintain a valid NYS CDL Class C with passenger endorsement.
  • Hold an Unrestricted license in effect for 3 years.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must qualify for Article 19-A and 21 NYCRR Part 6 of the NYS Department of Motor vehicle.
  • No more than 4 points accumulated within 3 years.
  • No conviction for driving and vehicle while impaired or intoxicated within 5 years.
  • No suspension or revocation of license during the 3 years.
  • Three or more moving violations within 3 years.
  • Three or more at fault accidents within 3 years.
  • Satisfactory results from a drug and alcohol test administered in accordance with FTA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the monthly NDT Report (due on 5th)
  • Maintain our PO Log
  • Daily data entry gasoline fuel log
  • Daily Midnight Verification Report and MTA Log
  • Conduct new hire interviews
  • Follow proper hiring procedures
  • Preparing new driver personnel files in a timely manner
  • Daily driver work scheduling
  • Produce a holiday schedule for the office staff
  • Updating Personal as needed
  • Update employee roster for Medport monthly
  • Update driver phone list periodically
  • Investigate customer complaints, respond via email
  • Data entry for our road observation log
  • Investigate code 61 reports
  • Run AVL Reports as needed
  • Dispatch as needed
  • Monthly invoice - daily data entry and monthly printing
  • Maintain the driver incentive log
