Operations Supervisor (Warehouse/Transportation) - 2nd Shift

About The Position

This candidate will be integrally involved in the daily transportation need of the Groton Shipyard, including but not limited to: forklifts, trucks, tractor trailers, and transporters, which may include moves made off-site. Must have detailed knowledge of transportation responsibilities and be capable of directing multi-trade personnel as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management. Individual will be in charge of material flow throughout the shipyard, off-site locations, Quonset Point, and major moves. This is a second shift position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years transportation experience such as FDFL, truck driver, Scheuerle operator, and or transportation planner
• Knowledge of CT and Federal DOT regulations
• Strong PC Skills such as MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Passport, Mainframe, Oracle
• Willingness to travel locally to support Groton and off-site major moves
• Well organized and self motivated with strong leadership qualities
• Ability to multi-task and interface with all levels of management
• Good communicator and capable of directing multi-trade personnel

• Knowledge of Corrigo, PEWO's, and VReq's
