About The Position

Waste Pro is looking for a hands-on Operations Supervisor to lead our residential collection team. If you have experience leading drivers, transportation operations, logistics, fleet operations, construction crews, delivery teams, or other field employees, this is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing privately owned waste companies in the United States. This is not a desk job. You'll spend your day leading employees in the field, solving operational challenges, improving safety, and ensuring exceptional customer service while developing your team into top performers.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, construction, waste, or another field operations environment.
  • Associate degree with at least two years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or operations.
  • Knowledge and prior application of Smith System and/or Decision Driving principles and techniques.
  • Basic computer skills and general knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Valid class A or B commercial driver's license (or ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire) with a personal and business driving record that meets Waste Pro standards and insurance requirements.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work independently make decisions and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising CDL Drivers and daily route operations.
  • Coaching employees to improve safety, productivity, and customer service.
  • Conducting ride-alongs and field observations.
  • Leading safety meetings and promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Monitoring route performance and labor efficiency.
  • Investigating accidents and completing incident documentation.
  • Responding to customer concerns and resolving service issues.
  • Coordinating vehicle repairs with the maintenance department.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees.
  • Conducting performance reviews and providing coaching and accountability.
  • Ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Assisting with route coverage and operating commercial vehicles when necessary.
