About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Operations Supervisor is to schedule and coordinate personnel, equipment, and activities in a production environment. The Operations Supervisor is expected to promote continuous quality improvement processes and meet profitability goals and customer expectations. The leader will supervise, motivate, and take disciplinary actions in a consistent and timely manner, and support and promote Operational Excellence initiatives. This is an on-site position, supporting 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 2:30-11:00 PM.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study and demonstrate people management experience required OR high school diploma/GED equivalent and a minimum 3 years of people management experience required.
Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment required, in a highly regulated environment preferred.
Ability to work 2nd shift hours (Monday-Friday 2:30-11:00 PM) required.
Demonstrated ability as a self-starter to problem solve employee relations and employee performance issues on a regular basis.
Experience reporting KPIs and status updates to senior leadership.
Ability to work cross-functionally and with team members across different shifts, to ensure consistent communication across site leadership.
Utilize internal training and employee management resources to develop team members.

Responsibilities

Schedules and coordinates production personnel, equipment, and activities.
Maintains head count levels with production requirements.
Provide direction for all Manufacturing areas to Operators and Leads including setting goals, standards, and/or expectations for areas.
Perform annual employee performance reviews and track the progress of an individual’s development plan/goals.
Coach Lead Operators on production goals and quality expectations, develop team members and monitor work performance, and perform disciplinary actions as needed.
Supports process changes to continually improve efficiencies.
Coordinates and schedules personnel for training classes.
Monitors production quality and supports non-conformance investigation on an on-going basis.
Analyzes and reports on production and quality results and takes immediate action if necessary.
Enable effective communication between management, team leads and operators and communicate to resolve employee concerns and complaints.
Follows and supports the Heraeus’ quality system, policies and objectives promoting continuous improvement.
Other duties assigned as required.
