About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Operations Supervisor is to schedule and coordinate personnel, equipment, and activities in a production environment. The Operations Supervisor is expected to promote continuous quality improvement processes and meet profitability goals and customer expectations. The leader will supervise, motivate, and take disciplinary actions in a consistent and timely manner, and support and promote Operational Excellence initiatives. This is an on-site position, supporting 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 2:30-11:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study and demonstrate people management experience required OR high school diploma/GED equivalent and a minimum 3 years of people management experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment required, in a highly regulated environment preferred.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours (Monday-Friday 2:30-11:00 PM) required.
  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter to problem solve employee relations and employee performance issues on a regular basis.
  • Experience reporting KPIs and status updates to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with team members across different shifts, to ensure consistent communication across site leadership.
  • Utilize internal training and employee management resources to develop team members.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and coordinates production personnel, equipment, and activities.
  • Maintains head count levels with production requirements.
  • Provide direction for all Manufacturing areas to Operators and Leads including setting goals, standards, and/or expectations for areas.
  • Perform annual employee performance reviews and track the progress of an individual’s development plan/goals.
  • Coach Lead Operators on production goals and quality expectations, develop team members and monitor work performance, and perform disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Supports process changes to continually improve efficiencies.
  • Coordinates and schedules personnel for training classes.
  • Monitors production quality and supports non-conformance investigation on an on-going basis.
  • Analyzes and reports on production and quality results and takes immediate action if necessary.
  • Enable effective communication between management, team leads and operators and communicate to resolve employee concerns and complaints.
  • Follows and supports the Heraeus’ quality system, policies and objectives promoting continuous improvement.
  • Other duties assigned as required.
