About The Position

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe and cost-effective use of the facility equipment and labor within control of this position. Ensure all staff are compliance with Inland’s policy of superior service and satisfaction while maintaining compliance with all written company and Government rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years experience in a “Lead” role preferred
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to manipulate multiple projects and conflicting deadlines at once
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to listen to others and value opinions, interpret information, promote and execute ideas, prepare reports and presentations, lead groups and provide foundation of open communication are required
  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Successful completion of any Carrier required training courses
  • Knowledge of converting kilos and pounds, tariff book usage and rate application
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all security clearances required by Transport Canada or TSA and/or Local and Federal Regulatory Airport Authorities
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background screenings

Responsibilities

  • Participate and exchange ideas in meetings and conference calls as required keeping the Operations at your location updated on new developments.
  • Ensure your station is focused on achieving optimal customer service, customer retention and customer relationships to maintain quality of service.
  • Assist the General Manager and/or Operations Manager with station audits, provide information needed for reports, and handle all airline and FAA questions/concerns as required.
  • Promote consistent reinforcement and adherence to QAS’ mission, values and purpose to instill the core beliefs of QAS.
  • Assist the Base General Manager in hiring, scheduling and training; recommended discipline and promotion of employees to new duties and responsibilities.
  • Assure that station is kept clean and safe through safety compliant methods as prescribed within safety and security procedures and programs.
  • Audit and maintain that all station activities are conducted to guarantee the highest level of employee and equipment safety for protection of assets, sustaining regulatory compliance and support company mission, values and purpose.
  • Ability to lead team in meeting goals, identifying areas of strength, build and maintain work teams and relationships, and follow through to be sure that deadlines are met and success/failures are identified following each project.
  • Actively promote adherence to safety practices and programs and hold site employees accountable for leading safety and compliance in the workplace.
  • Work in a safe manner and lead by example in the context of performing the functions of this position.
  • Ensure the base operates profitably and is meeting the Quantem predetermined profit plan for the base.
  • Assist in hiring and retaining employees, scheduling, training and time submission of payroll.
  • Administering personnel documents, handling employee issue and submitting required documents to the Corporate Office.
  • Ability to mentor, coach and lead Operations staff for further growth and development.
  • Must notify the Carrier of complaints and claims made by Carrier passengers.
  • Performs other duties assigned by QAS management.
