About The Position

Cambridge International Systems, Inc. is seeking an Operations Specialist to support operations in Oahu, Hawaii. This is a full-time CONUS position requiring an active DoD Top Secret clearance. The Operations Specialist will play a critical role in 24/7 operations that serve U.S. government missions, falling under the Global Security Operations Center Operator within the compensation framework. The role involves overseeing daily operations as part of a 24/7 support team, ensuring project deliverables through rotating watch schedules, and monitoring operations including mission and support systems like generators and HVAC. The specialist will leverage various tools to resolve technical issues, monitor IT mission equipment, and provide basic troubleshooting. They will act as an escalation manager liaison, provide timely updates to customers, Senior Leadership, and the Program Manager, and conduct pass-down briefings and training for junior watch standers. The role also includes preparing and updating operations procedures, conducting project status meetings, facilitating the creation of document deliverables, instructing personnel on operations and maintenance, monitoring surveillance systems, and acting as a liaison during emergencies. Additionally, the specialist will perform maintenance on security and access control equipment, complete incident reports, and assist with investigations.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School education.
  • Four (4) years' experience working in a team environment.
  • Must have a current and active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing daily operations as a member of a 24/7 support team.
  • Working within a team standing a rotating watch to ensure project deliverables.
  • Monitoring operations and mission/support systems (generators, HVAC, etc.) and leveraging accesses/tools to fix technical issues.
  • Monitoring IT mission equipment including servers, clients, routers, switches, and telecommunications cabling.
  • Providing basic troubleshooting skills to resolve problems.
  • Acting as escalation manager liaison between operations and support elements for rapid restoration notification.
  • Providing timely updates to customers, Senior Leadership, and the Program Manager for situational awareness documentation.
  • Conducting pass down briefings, maintaining pass down logs, and presenting to on-coming watch teams.
  • Training and mentoring newly assigned and/or junior watch standers.
  • Preparing and administering the preparation of operations procedures and initiating ongoing updates and changes.
  • Conducting routine project status meetings with Government Project Managers and company project team to identify challenges and risks, offering alternatives, and improving enterprise processes.
  • Facilitating or participating in the creation of document deliverables (SOPs, System Assessments, Project Status Reports).
  • Instructing craft personnel and technical staff in equipment and systems operations, maintenance methods, safe work practices, and procedures, and administering apprenticeship programs.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met and tasks remain within project scope.
  • Assisting in operations and maintenance by performing complex technical work and directing others.
  • Monitoring surveillance systems, alarms, and video equipment in the global security operations center (GSOC).
  • Working with other business units and acting as a liaison during emergencies, crisis response, and conveying business information.
  • Performing maintenance and repairs to security equipment and all access control.
  • Completing incident reports and work orders and assisting with investigations.
