Trustco Bank is seeking an Operations Specialist – Research to be our frontline expert in information retrieval and problem resolution. In this role, you aren’t just looking at data—you are navigating legal requests, balancing complex ledgers, and providing the critical answers our customers and branches need to move forward.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education or financial experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative spirit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Fluent in English; bilingual a plus
  • Access to reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous banking or financial services experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for complex subpoenas, levies, and income verifications, ensuring every request is handled with precision and speed.
  • Provide essential support to our branch network, from retrieving lost statements and check copies to leading customer investigations.
  • Manage daily returned mail and maintain organized, complete records to keep the Operations department running like a well-oiled machine.
