About The Position

The Operations Specialist has skilled experience working in the Personal Banking Representative position. They will mentor the staff and act as a back-up for the Operations Supervisor as needed. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting are expected, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment is necessary. May include some weekend and evening hours. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Customer Service oriented individual.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Understanding and application of applicable banking regulation compliance.
  • Exceptional oral and written skills in order to effectively communicate with both co-workers and customers.
  • Basic mathematical and cash handling skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Good time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic keyboard navigation ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including (but not limited to) Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations.
  • Utilizes tools and training programs available to exceed customer expectations and achieves satisfactory scores on Mystery Shops.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Drivers’ License is required.
  • Mastered the requirements of the Customer Service Representative and Personal Banking positions.
  • Generally have at least 1 year of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Current possession, or ability to obtain, a Notary Public is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor staff and act as a back-up for the Operations Supervisor as needed.
  • Expert in deposit processing duties including cash handling and teller drawer balancing.
  • Uses numerous software applications to accomplish daily tasks and assists with training other employees on these programs as needed.
  • Advanced understanding of Alpine Bank products and banking regulations.
  • Assists in training and coaching new and existing staff members.
  • Assists with location audits, scheduling, and staff training.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge and proficiency in customer sales and service.
  • Performs all Customer Service and Personal Banking Representative duties as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Acts as back-up to Operations Supervisor with certain duties as assigned.
  • Has the ability to give overrides and audit drawers.
  • Per location request-dormant A or B status may be given if needed.
