About The Position

Koniag Data Solutions (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, has an opening for highly qualified, experienced, and self-motivated individuals to perform the duties of an Operations Specialist, Intermediate with our customer in Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. These onsite positions require the selected candidates to hold an active Secret Clearance. The Operation Specialists will provide administrative and managerial assistance for operations and tasking activities, communication with senior level management and outside organization, writing and summarizing correspondence, logical/common sense application of task suspenses and coordination with subordinate offices. Typical responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to: Distribute (e-mail) notices, memos, minutes of meetings, and other correspondence Support assembly of senior level briefing packages often with quick turn-arounds Review calendars to ensure coordination Assist in the compilation of an event calendar for senior leadership Track action items Coordinate special programs and projects Support task management Perform comprehensive support for FOIA operations, working with FOIA Officers, POCs, and SMEs Identify information exempt from release under applicable laws Apply appropriate redactions with proper exemption annotations Review release recommendations and reconcile differences Prepare correspondence for approval by authorized officials Coordinate with subject matter experts and legal counsel as needed Prepare final response packages for signature

Requirements

  • 3-9 years of experience providing similar support
  • Data analysis experience for maintaining spreadsheets of programs, actions, tasking and document processing statistics.
  • Experience with Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2), the Ammunition Enterprise Portal (AEP) meSpace, and various Army program management database suites.
  • Required to obtain/maintain Secret clearance, to assist with taskings on classified subjects.
  • Experience with electronic FOIA processing tools, preferably FOIAXpress
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements
  • Proven technical knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. § 552)
  • Ability to analyze documents and identify exempt information
  • Experience with redaction processes and exemption application
  • Strong attention to detail in data management and reporting
