This position is responsible for reviewing mortgage loan files for accuracy and assisting in correctly and efficiently taking a file to its completion .

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of mortgage experienc e
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with solid computer skills.
  • Analytical thinker and consultative mind to support both team members and managers in all areas of the business.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated with the capacity to meet and exceed assigned goals.
  • Willing to learn, industrious, determined, and assertive.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks.
  • Strong people skills with ability to interact with all internal teams and external customers.
  • Must be able to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Diligence to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and on time.

Responsibilities

  • File Maintenance Confirm s completeness of system data related to contract, closing screens, document delivery dates, and file event dates
  • R esponsible for adding, updating, or clearing conditions within the company loan operating system.
  • I ssue s the clear to close in the loan operating system.
  • Assign s due out dates for new loan submissions and conditions based on published turn times ; a ssign files to the Underwriting team
  • Provide s status of failed audits to ensure responsible party can complete timely resolution of audit deficiencies
  • Auditing Reviews new loan file s for quality and minimum submission standards
  • Identif ies and interpret s post-closing failed loan document messages
  • Maintain s an overall error percentage of less than 15%
  • Review s and maintain s documentation according to required standards
  • Complete s a thorough checkdown of final approved loans
  • Co n ducts random quality control checks of loans at various stages (Processing, Underwriting, Closing) to ensure compliance with department standards
