Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree and 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation (Required)
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting work in an operational, technical, regulated, or compliance-driven environment.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and experience in coordinating activities, schedules, assessments, or action tracking across multiple stakeholders.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and experience in participating in or supporting facility walkdowns, workplace observations, assessments, or similar field-based activities.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and experience to understand and apply organizational policies, procedures, and institutional requirements.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer-service skills, including the ability to build productive working relationships across different organizations and levels of responsibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical or operational information and convert it into clear, accurate, and usable work products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship. (required)
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance. (required)
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and implement DOE Orders and LANL Procedures pertinent to nuclear facility operations
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and experience with working and updating project schedules.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and experience with LANL business systems (Oracle, UTrain, PDMLink, etc.).
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
  • DOE Q Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Regular collaboration with facility personnel, participation in facility and area walkdowns, support for assessments, and coordination of readiness activities with operational and programmatic customers.
  • Develop and maintain documentation that supports operational readiness, clear communication, and effective execution.
  • Support facilities that include nuclear and tritium operations at the Weapons Engineering Tritium Facility.
  • Build productive working relationships with facility, programming, and operational personnel.
  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, deliverables, and action tracking across multiple organizations.
  • Participate in facility and area walkdowns to understand operating conditions and identify ready-made needs.
  • Support assessments and help evaluate whether operational requirements have been effectively implemented.
  • Serve as a central coordination point for facility and programmatic customers.
  • Gather information from subject-matter experts and convert operational needs into practical plans, communications, procedures, and other controlled documents.
  • Research and apply effective practices in operational readiness, process improvement, and procedure development.
  • Help ensure work products meet applicable DOE and LANL requirements.
  • Communicate WFO activities and needs through written, verbal, and visual media projects under dynamic conditions.
