About The Position

Position title: Operations SME/Analyst Location: San Diego, CA Clearance required: TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across operational activities to identify hazards, evaluate mitigation options, and inform decision making. Ensure full compliance with safety policies, standardized procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements. Develop and deliver recommendations to enhance operational safety, efficiency, and mission effectiveness. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams including operations, logistics, safety, and program leadership to address safety concerns and maintain alignment with mission priorities. Monitor operational workflows and provide data driven insights to support process improvement. Support the development and implementation of safety initiatives, training materials, and corrective action plans. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience supporting operational missions involving uncrewed systems. Experience with data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with data analysis techniques and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Python, R, Tableau). Ability to visualize and present data effectively. Understanding of airspace regulations and procedures. Familiarity with FAA regulations pertaining to UAS operations. FAA Part 107 certification (for UAS operations) or the ability to obtain it with 6 months of Task Order start. Certified as an Aviation Safety Officer, or is capable of being certified within 6 months of filling role.
