About The Position

Verde is seeking an Operations Manager who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads with positivity, and is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for both employees and customers. This Operations Manager role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day execution across assigned customer accounts while driving service excellence, safety, sustainability, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring operational consistency, developing high-performing teams, and maintaining strong client partnerships that support long-term success.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive operations experience, preferably in janitorial, facilities, or service-related industries
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience managing direct reports
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to perform physical activities required for operational oversight, with reasonable accommodations available
  • Frequent walking and use of hands for handling tools and equipment
  • Occasional standing, sitting, and repetitive motion
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed

Responsibilities

  • Identify, address, and mitigate safety hazards and operational risks across assigned sites
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses with timely follow-up and documentation
  • Reinforce safety awareness, accountability, and training across teams
  • Ensure proper PPE usage and compliance with safety protocols
  • Maintain working knowledge of janitorial tools, equipment, and cleaning materials
  • Support and promote environmentally responsible cleaning practices
  • Educate team members and stakeholders on sustainability initiatives and green cleaning standards
  • Partner with vendors to encourage eco-friendly products and services
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact
  • Stay informed on industry-leading sustainable cleaning methods and products
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture
  • Encourage participation in volunteer and community engagement initiatives
