About The Position

As the senior manager on shift (one per shift) in the American Centrifuge Plant, the Operations Shift Supervisor represents the General Manager, American Centrifuge Plant Operations and has the authority and responsibility to make decisions, as necessary, to ensure safe operations. The Operations Shift Supervisors are responsible for accumulation and dissemination of information regarding plant activities to the Incident Commander during emergencies. The Operations Shift Supervisors are also responsible for directing the operation of systems, components and personnel within the facilities necessary to support enrichment operation. The Operations Shift Supervisors authorize the restart of equipment that has been shut down in a routine fashion when the prerequisites and limitations of the associated operating procedure are met. The Operations Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing operational support of centrifuge machine assembly, transport, installation, pump down, integrated system testing, start-up, operation and select repair. The Operations Shift Supervisors also direct the operation of systems with the American Centrifuge Plant, necessary to support the American Centrifuge operation.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing/Chemical/Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of industrial/chemical/nuclear plant operations, maintenance, engineering, or support experience
  • Previous supervisory/leadership experience or completion of a supervisory training course
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance.
  • Active “Q” or Top Secret security clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
  • Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made.
  • Employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government.
  • Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.

Benefits

  • Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $76,010 - $126,683.
  • Compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
