About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lending Operations Senior Manager to lead our Supply Chain Finance Team as a part of Commercial Banking (CB) Operations division. In this role, you will manage and develop teams of individual contributors in roles with moderate work complexity and risk in the Operations functional area. You will lead day-to-day servicing operations across Supply Chain Finance (SCF), including payment application reconciliations and exception resolution to ensure accuracy and timeliness of client deliverables. You will drive client servicing excellence by partnering with Relationship Managers, Treasury, Cash Application and cross-functional teams to establish clear expectations and eliminate processing delays. You will serve as the primary escalation point for complex client issues, including unidentified payments, aged items, and operational exceptions, ensuring timely resolution and risk mitigation. You will oversee end-to-end account servicing activities including adjustments, reversals, chargebacks, and account research, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and control standards. You will identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within the Operations functional area, develop and implement business unit strategies, and provide expertise for technical, operational and processing functions related to the business unit. You will manage operational controls and risk processes, including audit readiness, RCSA support, and control execution across servicing activities. You will determine the appropriate strategy and actions of the Operation management functional team to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables and interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity within the scope of responsibility across business lines or functional areas. You will collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers. You will lead and develop a team of Operations professionals, providing coaching, workload prioritization, and performance management to ensure consistent service delivery. You will monitor portfolio activity and operational metrics (aging, volumes, exceptions) to identify trends, capacity needs, and improvement opportunities. You will manage the allocation of people and financial resources for Operations, support onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer for new hires and evolving processes, including development of SOPs and process documentation. You will influence the strategic direction of the servicing model to support portfolio growth, increased transaction volume, and evolving client needs. You will drive the adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to streamline processes, improve decisioning, and scale operations efficiently. You will develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Supply Chain Finance, Commercial Banking Operations, Trade Finance, or related lending operations environments
  • Knowledge of payment reconciliation processes, cash application workflows, exception management, and account servicing activities
  • Experience leading operational teams in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with moderate to high operational risk
  • Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements that enhance client experience and reduce risk

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Operations Management, or related field
