About The Position

As an Operations RMA Engineer II based in Nampa, ID, you will be a key member of the Operations team, responsible for advanced testing, verification, and refurbishment of customer-returned (RMA) units — delivering high-quality results in a timely manner. This full-time role also supports the Quality, Support, and R&D teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and operates within an Americas scope.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in Network Administration, Network Engineering, IT Management, Systems Administration, or Electrical Engineering
  • Solid understanding of wireless technology concepts including routers, switches, and modems
  • Familiarity with core networking concepts: LAN/WAN, VLAN, DHCP/DNS, and VPN
  • Proficiency with command-line troubleshooting tools (ping, ipconfig/ifconfig, traceroute), SSH/Telnet, and device log analysis
  • Ability to communicate defect and root cause findings clearly to engineering and technical support teams
  • Proficiency reading electrical schematics and using electronics test equipment
  • Experience with board-level debugging, basic electrical concepts, SMT/through-hole assembly, and soldering/rework

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and test customer-returned products down to board-level analysis
  • Repair and refurbish products to production-level quality standards
  • Document and communicate hardware quality issues to customers and suppliers
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to optimize production and RMA test processes
  • Identify recurring issues and share knowledge across teams to support defect prevention
  • Conduct and document failure analysis on router and modem devices
  • Maintain RMA metrics and acceptable inventory levels
  • Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement of the RMA department
  • Support other departments within Operations as needed
