About The Position

The purpose of the Operations Review Specialist is to ensure effective management, compliance, and oversight of contracts and program operations by reviewing documents, monitoring contractor performance, approving expenditures, addressing grievances, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and maintain adherence to laws, regulations, and departmental policies. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

• Must possess a Florida Certified Contract Manager Certificate or be able to obtain the certification within six months. Applicants with the certification must include on their profile the certification number and expiration date.
• Must possess five (5) or more years of contract/grant management experience. Postsecondary education may substitute up to four (4) years of the required experience.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Experience tracking and monitoring contract/grant deliverables.
• Experience working with contracts with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Help create and review contract documents and suggest fixes for any problems found in reports.
• Support staff in corrections programs and recommend ways to improve how things are done.
• Approve or reject spending requests for assigned programs using the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) system.
• Track and document contract changes, and make sure contractors deliver what they promised.
• Review laws and regulations, handle inmate complaints, and take action if contractors don’t meet requirements, including managing budgets and invoices.
