About The Position

As an operations analyst, you are passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. This role requires an experienced research analyst to help solve complex problems for clients. On the analysis and application development team, you will assist with developing process improvement solutions and create applications and tools to enhance productivity. You will also help guide a team to develop study plans, conduct research, create models and tools, brief decision makers, and write reports. The position involves utilizing analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques using mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, and operational mathematics techniques such as linear programming, simulation, task automation, and other scientific and economic principles. The goal is to use operations research knowledge to develop technologies and concepts that advance efficiencies for IC and DoD customers.

Requirements

5+ years of experience conducting analysis of management and operational problems using operations research techniques
1+ years of experience with the application of modeling and simulation to address decision analysis problems
1+ years of experience conducting multiple objective decision analysis or cost benefit analysis in support of research objectives
1+ years of experience with pandas, R, Excel and VBA, ARENA, Octave, Tableau, Gurobi and CPLEX, ExtendSim, SAS, Netica, stats models, Stata, MATLAB, or SPSS
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field

Experience developing and performing verification and validation of models to ensure adequacy
Experience developing and delivering training materials for operations research techniques
Experience conducting problem definition and gathering data requirements from stakeholders
Experience briefing results and preparing written reports on analytic approaches and methodologies
Experience using machine learning and large language models to solve complex problems
Master’s degree in a STEM field
