The Operations Quality Engineer will provide quality engineering support to Raytheon programs to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements. Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor of Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience in quality, operations or manufacturing engineering OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of five+ (5+) years of technical related experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) measurement resources and practices.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Experience using technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documents.

Experience multitasking and prioritizing.
Experience with Six Sigma methodologies [e.g. Kaizen, Lean, Define/Measure/Analyze/Improve/Control (DMAIC), and Define/Measure/Analyze/Design/Verify (DMADV)] and resources [e.g. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Capability Analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)].
Experience working in an aerospace-related manufacturing environment.
Experience in microelectronic fab, manufacturing and assembly.
Previous experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102) and/or Advanced Product Quality Planning (AS9145).
Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management systems.

Responsibilities

Use critical thinking resources and methods to improve product design; minimize inspection; resolve manufacturing defects/problems; complete such specialized quality functions as data preparation, analyses, and reporting.
Attend daily tier meetings to discuss Safety, Quality, Delivery Inventory, and Productivity issues that inhibit customer satisfaction.
Coordinate resolution of nonconforming material with Engineering and Production Control teams.
Work with operations team to certify operators for Total Quality Control.
Conduct Layered Process Assessments in the factory.
Perform product and process assessments for compliance with various standards and product requirements.
Support root cause and corrective action activities.
Support process improvements initiatives.
Support Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis on processes and products to prevent product defects and mitigate risk.
Support implementation of product Quality Control Plans.
Act on all applicable material, product and equipment alerts to prevent impact to product reliability using the nonconformance and/or purge process.
