About The Position

As a part of the External Manufacturing organization, the Operations Project Manager is a core member of the Virtual Plant Team (VPT), which is comprised of Quality, MSAT, Procurement, and Supply Chain. This role will support the tactical, day-to-day operational aspects of the VPT in providing oversight to contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs). This position will oversee all stages of VPT priority projects, working with cross-functional global teams. The ideal candidate has a project management foundation and a passion for building and improving standard work processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Scientific or Engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operations support to the VPT, ensuring appropriate oversight to one or more CMOs.
  • Utilize, and in some cases create standard work processes and tools for all aspects of operations project management, including but not limited to: Meeting agendas, minutes, and action items; Visual dashboards related to performance, risks, project status, etc.; Creation and management of all required project plans (e.g. schedule, communication, stakeholder, risk identification/management, escalation, etc.); Planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing of priority projects; Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly reporting; VPT roadmap, VPT snapshot, batch tracker, exceptions and actions tracker, customer requests, scopes of work (SoW); and Operations Review Meeting (ORM) scheduling and preparation activities.
  • Serve as project manager for priority VPT projects (e.g. VPT specific scope related to tech transfers, technical process improvements, product or market launches, business process improvements, etc).
  • Plan and execute projects/tasks as needed in alignment with Industry and External Manufacturing Business Excellence (e.g. Portfolio Management (PMO); Data, Digital and Information Systems (DDIS); and Operational Excellence (OpEx)).
  • Support ad-hoc projects/tasks as needed for cross-functional ExM Organization.
  • Support data collection and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using an established process and performance dashboard.
  • Facilitate the development and management of mitigation plans to improve performance, as needed.
  • Support data collection and reporting related to raw material and CMO risk assessments; help develop and manage the associated mitigation plans.
  • Support risk management related tasks/initiatives, as required.
  • Assist in management of unexpected events by gathering information and determining the scope and impact of the crisis.
  • Support planning and implementation of a crisis management plan, including communicating with stakeholders, managing resources, and taking actions to mitigate the impact of the crisis.
  • Promote continuous improvement by analyzing the crisis and response to identify lessons learned and improve future crisis management efforts.
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset to consistently seek ways to improve our business and ways of working.
  • Apply systematic and structured approaches to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our business and ways of working; streamline operations to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
  • Investigate, propose and implement new tools and/or software for documentation tracking, metrics, data management, etc.
