About The Position

Johnson & Johnson RAD (Robotics and Digital) is seeking an Operations Process Engineering Manager for the OTTAVA surgical robotics program in Santa Clara, California. The role establishes and leads the Operations Process Engineering function for regulated medical capital-equipment manufacturing. It translates product and business requirements into capable, controlled, and scalable manufacturing processes, and leads process ownership, production support, validation, continuous improvement, and manufacturing readiness. This is a hands-on people-leadership role in a high-growth environment, requiring risk-based decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, proactive technical-risk ownership, disciplined escalation, and evidence-based resolution of manufacturing issues. The manager leads process engineering across the manufacturing lifecycle, from introduction and transfer through validation, scale-up, routine production, change control, and sustainment. The role partners with Operations, Quality, R&D, NPI, Test, Supply Chain, Service, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to resolve production issues, maintain quality-system compliance, improve manufacturing performance, and prepare production for product and program needs. The manager also develops the team, sets its operating structure and priorities, and oversees engineering programs, resources, metrics, and readiness. The position is fully onsite in Santa Clara and may require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel. Occasional evening or weekend support may be required during critical builds, investigations, or launches. The anticipated base pay range is $118,000 to $179,035.50. Johnson & Johnson describes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, retirement and savings plans, long-term incentives, and a range of time-off benefits, subject to applicable plan terms and policies.
